Quick log is a small panel that slides in for logging one event to one or more animals fast. It is the quickest way to jot down a single thing you just did, without opening the full session form.
How to open it
You can open Quick log from three places:
- The command palette (press the keyboard shortcut for it).
- The Quick log button on the Events list.
- The add button on mobile.

Steps
- Open Quick log from any of the three places above.
- Pick the animal or animals you are logging for.
- Pick the event type and fill in the details.
- Save. Done.
Good to know
Quick log saves the same way a session does. Your event gets a batch, so it shows under Just logged on the Events page and you can undo it the same way.
Watch out. Quick log keeps things simple, so it leaves a few things out: conformation checks, a different dose per animal, and moving animals to a paddock. When you need any of those, use the full session form instead (see Log the same event for a whole group).
