To record a weight, open an animal, go to the Health tab, and use the body condition card. You can log just a weight, or a weight plus a body condition score in one go.
Steps
- Animals → (an animal) → Health tab. Find the body condition card.
- Add a reading. Enter the date and the weight.
- Add a BCS (optional). Pick a body condition score if you scored the animal too.
- Save. The reading is added to the animal's history.

What BCS means
BCS stands for body condition score. It rates how much fat and muscle an animal is carrying on the camelid 1 to 5 scale, in half steps (so 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and so on). It's something you feel for by hand, because thick fleece hides true body shape. The healthy band is 2.5 to 4.0. Below or above that is worth a closer look.
Weigh many animals at once
For a whole group, use the bulk weigh-in. Go to Animals → Weigh-in, pick the animals you want, and enter a weight (and optional BCS) for each one, then save them all together.
Good to know. Weights show in your farm's unit, kg or lb. You set that once under Settings → Farm profile, and every member of the farm sees the same unit.
