1. Lawful use
Use AlpacaKeep only for purposes permitted by Italian and EU law and, if you are in the United Kingdom, Australia or New Zealand, by the law of that country. You must not:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
- Upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes the rights of others.
- Use AlpacaKeep to plan, document, or facilitate illegal activity.
2. Honest data
Records you publish to others - most importantly the public sale listings at /sale/[slug] - must be truthful and current.
- Do not list animals you do not own or do not have authority to sell.
- Do not misstate registration status, age, sex, health, parentage, or fibre data.
- Do not list animals below an age that is lawful to sell or transport in your jurisdiction.
- Do not artificially inflate or misrepresent prices to mislead buyers.
3. Animal welfare
AlpacaKeep exists to support good animal husbandry. We will remove any content that we believe - in our reasonable judgement - promotes neglect, cruelty, or trade in violation of animal-welfare law.
- No content depicting or promoting cruelty, neglect, or unlawful treatment of any animal.
- No facilitation of trade in wild-caught camelids or animals taken in violation of conservation rules.
- No facilitation of transport that would breach EU welfare-in-transport rules.
4. Platform integrity
Use the product as intended; do not attempt to subvert its systems or extract data outside the documented surface.
- No attempts to gain unauthorised access to other accounts, farms, or our infrastructure.
- No automated scraping, crawling, or bulk extraction of data - use the documented export tools instead.
- No interference with other users' use of the service (DDoS, fuzzing, abusive request volumes, etc.).
- No probing for vulnerabilities outside our published responsible-disclosure programme.
- No reselling, sublicensing, white-labelling, or commercial exploitation of the service without our written consent.
5. Contact-info handling
Buyers reach sellers through the enquiry form on a public sale page; a seller's email address is never published on the page. Sellers receive the buyer's name, email address and message. Reasonable buyer enquiries are encouraged. Anything beyond that is not.
- No bulk harvesting of contact addresses from sale pages - automated or manual.
- No use of harvested addresses for unsolicited marketing, fundraising, or phishing.
- No impersonation of AlpacaKeep, of a seller, or of any third party.
6. Enforcement
We act on credible reports - see our Report content page - and on what we observe ourselves. We use the lightest measure that is enough: a warning with a deadline to put the problem right; taking specific content offline; pausing all of a farm’s public pages; suspending an account; ending the contract (see our Terms of Service, section 9). We report to the competent authorities where the law requires it, in particular where content suggests a threat to someone’s life or safety. Whenever we restrict content or an account, we tell you why at the time we act, and you can ask us to review the decision.
7. Reporting violations
Anyone, including non-users, can report a suspected violation through our notice-and-action procedure. See our Report content page.
