FAQ
Questions we hear a lot.
How will trials work?
Right now we're in private beta — only Free is live. When paid plans launch later in 2026, every farm gets one 30-day trial of Starter and one of Pro, triggered the first time you click into a feature on that tier. No credit card. Paying Starter customers can run a Pro trial in parallel.
What happens when a trial ends?
You revert to Free. Everything you created stays visible and fully editable. If you're over the 5-animal Free cap, a banner asks you to upgrade before adding more — but data is never locked or deleted. Trials end gracefully, not as a punishment.
Can I export my data?
Yes, anytime. One click gives you a zip of your entire farm as JSON plus a /csv folder per table. Leaving is as easy as arriving.
Does it work without internet?
The app works on any smartphone browser — no app store required. V1 is online-first: if cell signal drops in the barn, submit buttons are disabled and show a "Check connection" message rather than corrupting your data. True offline sync is on the roadmap.
Is my data secure?
EU servers, daily encrypted backups, full GDPR compliance including right-to-erasure. You own your data, and you can take it with you.
Do you support farms outside the EU?
Yes. The product works anywhere with internet, in any language a browser supports. Servers are currently EU-hosted, which means a small extra latency for breeders in the Americas or Australia — measurable but not painful for a tool you use a few times a day. Other regions on request once volume justifies it.
Why annual billing only?
When paid plans launch they'll be annual only. Month-to-month billing in a small market invites churn tourism — annual selects for breeders actually invested in their herd. It also keeps the price lower because we don't pay a card processor twelve times a year.
