A mother alpaca and her cria at the Val Gardena farm where AlpacaKeep is developed and tested. Two of the herd, Val Gardena

Shaped by a real farm's needs.

My brother has been breeding alpacas in Val Gardena for 25+ years. For most of that time he relied on the only alpaca management software around. An outdated Windows program with gaps where it mattered, missing the features that should have been there from day one. After enough conversations about what was missing, I started building a replacement. The alpaca manager he had always wished he had.

The breeder

He has the alpacas. He feeds the herd, runs the matings, and checks the records every day. Every feature in AlpacaKeep was tested against his actual workflow. He points out what is missing, what reads wrong, what should be one tap shorter.

Development

I build the website. Every screen traces back to something my brother needed and could not find anywhere else. The more we talk over coffee, the better AlpacaKeep gets. Feedback in the morning, fix in the same week.

Three things we got right.

Modern records for how alpacas are actually bred. Three things we built that other tools never got right, shaped by daily use on a real farm.

  1. 01
    Records that compare themselves

See what worked, year against year.

See each shearing's full fibre histogram next to last year's on one chart. See each breeding decision next to the cria it produced. See each animal's running cost next to what it sold for. A paper ledger cannot show you that. This can, when you need to decide.

  2. 02
    Built from a living farm

Shaped by real use, every week.

We test every feature on 70+ alpacas before you see it. If something is slow, missing or just wrong, we fix it the same week. The person who finds the problem calls the next morning. Other tools have looked the same for ten years. This one keeps improving.

  3. 03
    A sale in a tap

Public page per animal, live in a click.

Toggle for sale and the animal gets a clean public page with photos, pedigree, fibre history and a contact button. No buyer accounts, no shopping cart. When the cria is sold, the page disappears.

Two kinds of farmers find their way here.

Whether you have bred for twenty years or you just brought home your first three, we made sure the first hour with AlpacaKeep feels right.

We understand the fleece.

A micron number on a certificate is only part of the story. The shape of the histogram tells you whether your breeding decisions are working. AlpacaKeep keeps the full distribution, every lab value, and every year beside the animal's pedigree and health record. It is fibre history built for breeding decisions, not a notes field.
