Who can see money on your farm

Only the Owner and Co-Owner can see Finance in AlpacaKeep, and why that limit is enforced, not just hidden.

Only the Owner and Co-Owner can see money on your farm. Farmhands and Viewers cannot, by design.

What money means here

For an Owner or Co-Owner, "money" covers:

  • The Finance menu and its full ledger of income and expenses.
  • An animal's Finance tab.
  • Purchase prices, sale prices, and insured values.

A Farmhand or Viewer does not even see the Finance menu. The animal Finance tab is hidden from them too, and the price numbers never show up anywhere they look.

Why this is safe

This is not just hiding buttons. The limit is enforced at the data level, the place where the numbers actually live. So a Farmhand cannot reach prices or the ledger through any back door or trick. If the screen does not show it to them, the data does not hand it over either.

Good to know. This protects sensitive numbers. You can give a Farmhand full access to log events, weights, and breeding, without ever exposing what you paid or sold an animal for.

Who is who

  • Owner and Co-Owner see money.
  • Farmhand and Viewer do not.

To change someone's role, go to Settings → Team.

  • Record income and expenses
  • Reserve, sell, or transfer an animal
