To log an event for one animal, open that animal and go to its Health tab. This is the right place for anything that happened to one animal: a vaccination, a treatment, a check. For a whole group at once, use a session instead (see Log the same event for a whole group).
Steps
- Animals → open an animal → Health tab. Find the event log on this tab.
- Pick the Event type. For example vaccination, deworming, or a check.
- Set the Date. Defaults to today; change it if you are recording something from before.
- Fill in any extra details that appear (see below).
- Notes (optional). Add anything worth remembering.
- Save. The event is added to this animal's Health tab.

When a Medication details block appears
If you pick a medication-type event (vaccination, deworming, supplement, or treatment), a Medication details block opens. Fill in:
- Medication (from your medication list)
- Route (such as Subcutaneous, Intramuscular, Oral)
- Dose and Unit
- Lot / batch number
- Expiry date
- Administered by (free text, handy for an outside vet)
The medication list is filtered to the event type: a vaccination event shows vaccines, a deworming event shows dewormers, and so on.
Good to know. When a medication has withdrawal days set, logging it adds a withdrawal banner to the animal until it clears. See Withdrawal periods.
When it is a conformation check
Conformation event types do not ask for a medication. Instead you set a severity (Info, Minor, or Severe) and can note findings.
Good to know
Tip. Need the next dose later? Open the Schedule follow-up dose(s) block on this form to set a reminder. See Schedule follow-up doses.
